This is the plan for the delivery of all grant-funded homeless education services
under the Title X, Part C McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act to
meet the requirements of the U.S. Department of Education for a definitive plan
for services to homeless children and youth in Illinois. Questions should be

2007 Updated Homeless Liaison Toolkit
The Local Homeless Education Liaison Toolkit is a
comprehensive tool that will assist both new and veteran local
homeless education liaisons in carrying out their responsibilities.
A McKinney-Vento Toolbox: Constructing a Robust and Rigorous
Homeless Education Program, In Case of Disaster and Every
Day ![]()
This toolbox is designed to help school districts implement
the McKinney-Vento Act Fully, so they can address the needs
of children and youth experiencing homelessness on a daily
basis and in times of disaster. The toolbox contains information
and practice lessons learned and resources developed during
the recovery process following the 2005 Gulf Coast Hurricanes.
